Bjerke Image

Bjerke Image is Norway’s largest supplier of anniversary watches, with a history spanning 90 years and 4 generations. They currently specialize in anniversary watches, watches and corporate gifts, with a brand promise of delivering quality, service and after-sales service.

When Bjerke Image approached AYG, they had a Magento store with a non-intuitive and frustrating customer experience and close to zero e-commerce conversions.

Hence, we took on the challenge to create a digital commerce experience worthy of a de facto market leader that Bjerke Image truly is.

AYG's main challenge was to re-think the entire digital commerce experience and build an enterprise feel Magento shop.

Meet Bjerke Image.

Bjerke Image is an online store dedicated to providing their customers with an unbeatable selection of exclusive anniversary watches and corporate gifts.

Headquartered in Norway, they’ve been proudly serving customers for 90 years and 4 generations.

They make their customers happy by delivering quality products and after-sales services.

Over the past two decades, Bjerke Image has also built up an equally strong network of suppliers for other gift items. All in line with the 1923 vision: Quality pays off!

Bjerke Image - the brand new system.

With their excellent customer service in mind, we helped them improve their omnichannel experience while re-designing and upgrading their existing online Magento 2 store.

The store was built on Magento Open Source 2.4.1.

It integrates with Tripletex to ensure that the need for manual accounting and finances processes is reduced for maximum business outcomes.

It also integrates with ByPOST for an efficient parcel handling and distribution within Norway.

In order to allow the customers to check out as slick and easy as in their physical store, we have integrated Klarna for a complete and secure payment experience.

We took an Inclusive Design approach when we started to craft the digital commerce experience for Bjerke Image, since there are multiple buyer personas that use the shop.

We differentiated Bjerke Image from the other maker players by taking the brand out of its comfort zone and applying a bold look, as opposed to the traditional one, for a complete UX overhaul.

Moving forward, we’ll gather insights from UX experiments and behavioral shopping patterns to optimize the digital commerce experience.

Post-launch Bjerke Image’s store will be monitored and continuously improved under a support package to executes project plans that address front-end, back-end, and customer-facing issues.

Design thinking and lean UX will be employed to conduct experiments and gather continuous feedback in order to ensure both user-centricity and business added value.

Business sustainability for an excellent return-on-investment.

Bjerke Image empowers businesses to strengthen corporate relationships through a great selection of corporate gifts making it easy for stakeholders to buy these through an integration with Gifty.

Hard work always pays off.

Business impact

Design thinking principles, an optimized UX/UI digital commerce experience and custom technical solutions are behind this Magento 2 upgrade and redesign.

Without the client’s push for hard deadlines, we had the opportunity to make all the preparations needed for a quality launch.

Although the store is not yet launched, we expect to see promising results based on previous launches.

We love a good challenge.
